Planning is underway for our twenty-eighth season of “...enriching our community through music.” Music director and conductor Ken Selden has more than a few surprises in store for you this season. He has hinted at performing compositions in adventurous ways, juxtaposing classical and pops repertoire in a manner unusual and surprising.
After much discussion by the board of directors, we have standardized our ticket prices this year - all seats will be $10 each at the box office and on pre-order. Season tickets are now available for a reduced price, but only until our fall concert. Beginning in September, you will be able to charge your ticket purchases or donations on either Visa® or MasterCard®.
Before rehearsals start (Tuesday evenings beginning August 24) we encourage musicians in our community to contact us for information on joining the orchestra. This year, we have openings for percussion, trumpet and all string sections.
As always, we thank you for you continued interest in and support of the Mt. Hood Pops Orchestra. We look forward to seeing you at the first concert of our 28th season, on Sunday, October 10th, 2010. Keep checking back for more information.
